Priscilla, Aquilla, and Ginger

We've been kindly busy around here lately. Here's what's been going on. . .

Mama reading to the girls. . . Speaking of reading, Mary and I have a very sweet reading time after we finish our family Bible time in the evening. We've pushed back Mary's bedtime to 7 p.m., so we do dinner, bath, family Bible time, and then we have a quiet reading time before bed. We had to push her bedtime back because she started waking up around 6 a.m. saying, "Awake! Awake!" We used to wake her up at 7 a.m., but by keeping her up later she's back to waking up at 7 instead of 6.

My parents bought us a double stroller! I can't wait to try it out soon! The weather has been a little yucky, so we haven't been outside to try it yet, but hopefully today or tomorrow we'll get a chance. I know it will so great for the summer.

This is the box it came in, husband not included.

With Mary turning two recently, we decided to start giving her some responsibility. We borrowed this fish tank from Stephen's parents, bought some cheap fish (named Priscilla, Aquilla, and Ginger), and viola - instant responsibility! We talk about how it's our responsibility to feed the fish everyday. Mary also started going to her own Sunday School class at church (gasp!). So, we got her a super-cute backpack with her name on it (extra-special). It is Mary's responsibility to pack it and carry it each Sunday. We haven't actually tried this yet, since we just picked up the backpack last night, but hopefully all will go well and she'll learn a little something.

This is her super-cute new backpack. Her name is embroidered above the daisy in pink "curls" font. Love it!

Her first day of "school" went really well, better than expected. So well, in fact, that she didn't want to leave when it was time to go into the sanctuary for the worship service. The only bad thing was that our Sunday School class is right next to the girls' (Anna is in there, too), so I heard Mary talking almost the whole time. I also heard Anna crying, so I didn't get to stay in my new adult class very long. Oh well, who ever said being a mom was convenient, right? I'm going to try to nurse Anna immediately before dropping off the girls for their class, so hopefully I can stay in mine the whole hour this coming week. But I'm very pleased that Mary had fun and is looking forward to going back!

Mary's frames should be in sometime this week. We still have to decide between the rectangle and the oval frames, but once we do, we can order her glasses and have them on her by the following week. I can't wait!

Have a happy week!

Ha!!! I love the fish names. Looks like all is well at the Stroud home. I'm glad Mary enjoyed Sunday school. That wasn't so bad, was it? :)
