Why wouldn't you take a picture of your child in a bird bath?!
Anyway. . .
I took Mary to the eye doctor yesterday to get her stitches out. Well, turns out that they came out on their own, so no big worries there. She did, however, check her eyes. She needs to get glasses - now. Yuck! The patching has been reduced to only one hour a day, but she needs to wear her glasses all the time. And not only glasses, but special glasses - Mira Flex.
I think they look so goofy in this picture, but of course I won't say that to my precious daughter (who I'm sure will look quite adorable in them). The Mira Flex frames are especially made for kids; you can bend them and scrunch them up in your hands and then they pop right back into place. They look like toy glasses to me, but that's what the doctor ordered. Mary has her regular two-year check up at the pediatrician this morning, so we're going to try to get her fitted for the glasses after that if we can.
Please keep us in your prayers, especially that Mary will adjust quickly to wearing glasses. Thanks!
More to come. . .

I looked at getting those glasses for Ben but just couldn't do it. We have had no problems with regular glasses at all. He has been wearing them since 1 week after his 1st birthday and we are on the original pair. If you really don't like those I would look into a regular pair. She will do great with glasses. Ben can see so good with his that he wants to wear them!
From Italy, faancy! :)
