Our first day of potty training was interesting. Mary got up around 7:30 a.m., she had breakfast, water, juice, read lots of books on the potty, and still nothing.
Nothing! After three hours hanging out in the kitchen with Nana, they ventured into the living room to visit me and Anna for a much needed break. That's when it happened, of course, right. After that accident, it was time for lunch, then naps. She had a wet pull-up from her nap, but didn't have to go potty again until right before dinner, which was another accident in her room (I think). Anyway, the girl is a camel. We gave her water and juice and did everything we knew to do, even buying her a fun Hello Kitty (her favorite) cup, and she still didn't have to go potty often. And not once did we even make it to the potty in time. Oh well... We're not going back, this is it,
she's potty training. We'll put panties on again tomorrow and pray for the best!
Mary's doing really well with it all, though. She doesn't mind sitting on the potty and she even is starting to tell me before she goes peepee (just not enough time to make it to the potty). She's a good sport and a smart little girl; she'll figure it out soon enough.
Time for bed!
