New Cooking Class

I'm starting to get into "real food" and making healthier food and lifestyle choices. Who doesn't want to be healthier and have more energy, right? Well, I'm currently taking the Surf & Turf online class, which is teaching me how to cook meat and seafood the most nutritious way. It's great so far! I've also found one more class that I'm going to take online - Real Food for Rookies. With these two classes, I think I'll be set for a while. :)

The new class will cover
  • Reading labels
  • Which fats to use
  • Picking the right sweetener
  • Produce (including which questions to ask at a farmers' market)
  • Superfoods
  • and lots of other neat stuff that will make my family feel good
If you're new to "real food" and don't know where to start (like me), I encourage you to check out this class. Kelly's blog is really good, too! Oh, and if you don't want to pay for the course, you can enter the free contest (like me!) and try your luck!

Oh, and speaking of real foods, I've ordered some milk kefir grains from kefirlady in Ohio; they should be in today or tomorrow. I'm planning on replacing yogurt with homemade kefir, and I'm super-excited! I'll post the process and show you how easy (and economical - and healthy!) it is to do. (If you don't know what kefir is, click here)

Have a happy weekend!
