Fetch the Vet!

Our first trip to Chuck E. Cheese, and all Mary wanted to do was ride Fetch the Vet! She LOVED this little "ride," and really, that's all she wanted to do. I had to distract her with a ball game to give the other kids some time with the vet, which Mary calls a policeman. While I played with Mary, Stephen was in charge of racking up tickets. He parked himself in front of the Tower of Tickets (or something like that) and won over 1,000 tickets for Mary to cash in. She chose a little stuffed animal dog, a slinky, ruby ring, and race car. We all had a good time, and it was a fun change from the usual Thursday night. Thanks, Ms. Meghan, for inviting us!

In other news, we had one potty parade today, and three accidents. At least with the accidents she told me she was about to peepee in her panties, but she just didn't leave us enough time to make it to the potty. Tomorrow I'm going to try a sticker chart as an incentive. The potty parade really is enough (she absolutely LOVES the parades, which include lots of maraca-shaking and dancing around the living room), but maybe having something for her to actually see and remind her of it will be helpful.

Is tomorrow really Friday?! Yes!

Oh, and if you live in HSV, be sure to check out the semi-annual 25-cent book sale at the main library downtown this Saturday. Doors open at 9 a.m., and be sure to bring an empty tote bag or you'll look like an amateur. ;)
