Mary and Mama getting ready for the first night of Puggles!
Puggles was sooooo much fun! I absolutely love, love, love two-year-olds! Stephen had a great time, too, and I know the little boys were glad to see a big man in there. He really bonded with a couple of them, which was so sweet to watch. We had 15 little Puggles all in one room. After all the crying was over (most did not like to leave their mommies), we did our lesson, craft, finger puppet play (which goes along with the lesson), songs, and snack. We had the Puggles for an hour and a half, but it really seemed like only 20 minutes. Next week, we're going to split up into separate rooms, which I think will work much better for everyone. I'm going to miss Mary, though. It was fun to watch her start to interact with the other kids.
Smoothies!!! I've started a new healthy habit - a daily smoothie. Mary likes it too, but it helps when it's in a fun Kitty Cat cup. Right now, I make a kind of basic smoothie: berries, yogurt (which I'd like to replace with kefir soon), spinach, banana, raw egg, and cinnamon - DELICIOUS! I can't wait to get a little more creative and try this and this. And speaking of eating healthy, as an early birthday present, Stephen let me sign up for an online cooking class! It starts tomorrow night, and is every Wednesday for 13 weeks. I'm going to learn "how to cook nutrient-dense meat and seafood." Soooo excited!
And since we're talking about birthdays, my wonderful husband turns 30 this Friday! Happy birthday, honey! No big plans yet, but I think we're going to go to our Sunday School social at Angel's Island Coffee Shop that night. I can't believe we're both going to be 30 soon!
Have a happy, happy week!

Awww...she looks so cute in her puggles shirt! We are sad that we had to miss the first day, but Kalen is excited about next week! Glad to hear that it all went well. :)
Those smoothies sounds tasty! I'm not usually a big fan of smoothies, but I'd try those! Also that cooking class sounds great! I'm sure you will enjoy it!
Do you have a body of 'The Maker's Diet"? They have some good smoothie recipes also. I can loan you my copy if your interested. -as I sit here sippin' on my smoothie. :) I slice and freeze my bananas and berries, then there is no need to dilute the smoothie with ice. Homemade almond milk is a great base too.
er, book, not body
