Quick Pictures

Mary (and her kitty cat) love to color at her new table. Thanks, Granddaddy and Grandmother! Her favorite things for Mama to draw (since she only can draw circles and go up and down) are Noah and his ark, coconut trees, apples trees, rainbows, happy faces, and hearts.

I told you this girl loves monkeys! Here is Mary this morning when we went in to get her up (although she's usually always up already, just sitting in her bed in the dark waiting on Daddy and Mama). If she looks a little cross-eyed, she's not, but she does have a lazy left eye. Stephen is taking her to the eye doctor in two Mondays (the same day as her dentist appointment, poor girl). Our pediatrician's office recommended The Eye Center downtown, but after waiting two hours to see the doctor for five minutes, he simply said her eye was fine. Right . . . Second opinion, please! We'll see what our own eye doctor says.

I packed my bag for the hospital yesterday and this morning (just in case I go early!). We're getting very excited to meet our new little girl! Some of the nurses remembered us from when we had Mary, which is pretty neat. Things are totally different this time, though. Since the birth is a scheduled c-section (doctor's recommendation for the way my body is), I'm not concerned this time about how long I'll be in labor or if I'll have any pain during the birth. It's nice to think about just going in and having the baby. However, the downside of a c-section is the recovery; it is major surgery, after all. I'm certainly not looking forward to the 2-3 weeks of pain, discomfort, and helplessness afterwards. Yuck! Please pray that I'll have a speedy recovery and be full of joy (I tend to be a big baby when I don't feel well).

Happy Snow Day!
