Mary and Mama love to sew together. I have a little sewing corner in our dining room where I make little bags, dresses, and baby stuff. I just finished a huge project last night - my first purse/diaper bag. A friend, who has her own diaper bag-making business, inspired me to try one for myself. It was so much fun to make! Here's the online tutorial I followed. It took probably 7 hours from start to finish. I can probably complete it faster next time, but there were lots of elements involved that I've never experimented with before (interfacing, bias tape, elastic, etc.) Mary didn't help much with this big project, but she loves to help me make little bags and just sew fabric together.

She just started coloring this week, and she really enjoys it. It's helping her learn her colors, too! Mary has become an expert scribbler.

Yeah... we re-introduced utensils this afternoon, but it didn't go very well. This is from last week; I think we had lasagna or spaghetti (she loves pasta).
I'm SO glad that October is over! The weather is finally starting to cool down, and we're enjoying some truly nice days inside and out. I'm in my 27th week of pregnancy now, so I'm all about the weather cooling off. Stephen's at a deacon's meeting at church right now, Mary is having her "blanket time" (sitting quietly on a blanket as she plays with toys - we do this every night while I cook dinner), and I'm cooking her some rice and veggies. A pretty nice Sunday evening. Stephen will come back in a little bit and pick us up for church. I better get going!
Happy November!
