Mary Learns (a little) Geography

Okay, please forgive me for having a little show-off time, but this is SO cute! I wish I knew this much at 18 months old; instead, I'm learning most of the countries as she learns them.

Mary has been very interested in the big, colorful map (a fabric panel from Nana) that we have recently pinned up in the kitchen by her toys. She'll point to countries and then look at me expecting to learn the names. She was all about Madagascar this morning, which she pronounces, "ca-ca-grrrr," or something like that. Here she is pointing to some big-name countries, some continents, and the island of Guam. During this video, she also started doing something weird with her tongue, which she's never done before or since - crazy. Enjoy the video!

I had a very hard time sleeping last night. I'm having to get up most nights and eat something, which I haven't had to do since the first trimester. I guess that means Anna is growing. I'm 30 weeks along today, only 9 more to go! (We're having another c-section, so the surgery is performed one week prior to the due date - our due date is January 27.) Last night, Anna also decided to do some jumping jacks between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., so that kept me up also. Needless to say, I just put Mary down for her nap, so I'm going to go take one, too.

Happy Wednesday!
