Today is my husband's birthday; he's 28 years old today! Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate with his parents (we celebrated a day early because Stephen has orchestra rehearsal tonight). After enjoying the healthy salad bar at Jason's Deli, we went back to his parents' house and
really enjoyed a not-so-healthy chocolate chip cookie cake. Yummmmm! The birthday cookie cake is a Stroud family tradition. His parents also suprised him with a really neat gift: a 5-day wireless weather forecaster from Brookstone! It gets the weather for the week straight from a satellite. It also has a magnet on the back, so we keep it conveniently on the front of our refrigerator. Very cool! Mary did pretty well being in a restaurant, but of course she had to be held. She got a little fussy toward the end, but Granddad and Daddy took her outside and she was just fine. She loves the outdoors!

Before all the fun began, Mary and I spent our morning at church. Tuesday was the first day of the fall Bible studies for women. There are many studies to choose from, but I chose the one for moms. The Bible studies are from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday - right in the middle of Mary's precious nap time. I was very nervous of how she would do being away from home, but she was great! When I checked on her about half way through, she was sleeping soundly (whew!). However, she did cry all the way home. But once we got home, I nursed her and she slept for another two hours (woohoo!!). I can certainly get used to this!
