We left on Wednesday morning of last week to visit family in Mississippi for Thanksgiving. First, we traveled to Fulton to spend time with my parents, grandparents, and brothers. Then on Friday we took a day trip to Sunflower (very small town in the Mississippi Delta) to see Stephen's grandmother, aunt, and cousins. Here are some pictures from our week:
We found out that Mary loves to play with chalk! My parents have a chalkboard that is just her size.
Wednesday afternoon we walked over to my grandparents' home to say hello. They have a big catfish pond next to their house. Mary, sitting on Daddy's shoulders, enjoyed watching my brother Matt (green shirt) feed the fish.

It's hard to believe that the next time we see some of our relatives we'll have another little girl to tote around. We cant' wait; we're all so excited! In the morning I'll officially be 8 months pregnant - 32 weeks (if my math is correct). Anna is very, very active, which is such a blessing. Mary knows she has a sister on the way, and she points to my tummy when we ask her where Anna is. As for me, I'm doing as well as any 8 month pregnant woman can be doing. I have some days that are hard and some that fly by. Just like the last time around, my husband has been WONDERFUL. I couldn't ask for a more caring, compassionate, attentive, and loving partner in life. Stephen keeps everything light and fun when I start to feel overwhelmed with my growing belly and responsibilities as a mother to two little girls. I truly can't thank him enough!
We have a very busy December, with the next two weekends being full on our family calendar. I get tired very easily now in the afternoons and evenings, so part of me thinks, "Uggh! No more!" But then I think that maybe all the activities will make the time go by faster, which means Anna will be here sooner (or at least it will feel that way). So, I'm going to look on the bright side and say, "Let's do it!" However, tomorrow is going to be a slow day for us. I promised Mary we could do some sewing (she wants to sew all the time and I'm starting to run out of scraps!), and I'm going to force myself to learn how to sew on zippers (something new for me). It should be a nice and relaxing day before the flurry of activity this weekend.
Have a happy day!
