Opus Tadpole

Today we did, by far, one of the neatest things we've done in a long time - we went to Huntsville Symphony Orchestra's Opus Tadpole! Opus Tadpole is an educational outreach of the symphony, directed to preschoolers and elementary age children. It was held at the new concert hall, which is very nice, and after the 30-minute show-and-tell (this month was the harp) we all got to watch a sneak-preview of tonight's concert. It was so much fun, and Mary really enjoyed it!

We have a very busy and exciting week ahead. Monday we have a playdate, Tuesday I go to the dentist, Wednesday is OPERA NIGHT, Thursday is shopping day, and then next weekend we have to get our indoor grow station ready to start our seeds for our square food gardens (thanks again for the book, Grandpa Y!). Whew!

Thanks to some good friends who needed more space in their home, we also got some new furniture for Mary and Anna's rooms today. Mary got a beautiful vanity with a stool, a big stand-up mirror, a nightstand, a headboard, and a sweet little rocking chair, all in matching white wicker. It makes her room look so grown-up! She really likes it! Anna got a new big-girl bed for when she's ready to move out of her crib. Her new bed has drawers underneath for extra storage, which is something we'll definitely use! Thanks, Brian and Julie!

Must get some sleep now to get ready for our big week ahead!
