Anna's First Birthday Party!

Anna's first birthday isn't officially until next week, but with all our families' different schedules, today was the best day. It was a blast!

Nothin' says Happy Birthday like a nice, big Baskin Robbins ice cream cake! Anna wasn't much into it, though, and rather preferred playing with the paper plate.

I decided to create a special birthday hat for the special birthday girl. It took quite a bit of time and effort (Stephen even helped; he sewed the star!), but it came out a little too big and heavy. Oh well... we used it as the centerpiece for our table. :) I'm going to keep it for her and put it on a shelf in her room I think.

Opening gifts... again, she really preferred playing with the wrapping paper, but I know she'll enjoy her new toys as she gets a little older.

It's been a looong day, so we better get to bed. The snow is really coming down now, so if you live in the South, have a happy snow day tomorrow!
