Well, we have an official appointment for closing, June 11 at 10 a.m., so I think the house is pretty much ours! We are so excited! The inspection report came back good, with no
major things to fix. We also had a radon test done, and that also came back good. We couldn't ask for more! Now it's on to the task of packing and getting everything ready for move-in weekend (June 11-13). There are a couple small things that I'd really like to get taken care, such as the baby gate by the stairs, shower curtains and rods for the bathrooms (we'll have three bathrooms and we only have one shower rod now, so unless we want the entire extended family taking turns in the master bath - nope! - then we need to get some more for the big weekend), and other odds and ends that you normally wouldn't think about (contact paper for the kitchen cabinets). Our plan right now is to get the keys that morning, then Stephen and his dad are going to fix some of the small stuff in the new house (some pipes leaking, etc.), and I'd like to clean the kitchen really well that night. The next day, my family from Mississippi is driving over to help, and we'll probably rent a moving truck to transport the big stuff. The rest of the weekend will be spent moving, moving, moving, and unpacking, unpacking, unpacking. Whew! I know it's going to be tiring,
but I can't wait!

Congratulations!
Your house is beautiful, and it looks like you made a really good deal.
What are you going to do with the almond refrigerator?
