This afternoon was the very first time that both girls went down for a nap around the same time! Anna cried for a bit, but then drifted off to sleep; Mary went down as usual after her lunch. Amazing! I had a chance to just sit and relax - my only "me" time during the day. I made some popcorn, sat in the comfy blue rocker in the nursery (Anna is still sleeping in our room, so the nursery was empty), and read from my favorite novel in the whole wide world,
Pride and Prejudice. Aaaahhh. . . love it! I first read this book when I was pregnant with Anna, then I read it again our first week home from the hospital, and I should finish my third reading of it either tonight or tomorrow. I've never read the same book three times, so that says a lot about my enjoyment of it. Jane Austen penned six major novels, of which I've read two, so we're taking a family trip to the library tomorrow morning to pick up another one. I think I'll try
Mansfield Park. I love books, so I'm glad that I can still squeeze in some time during most days to get a little reading done - it's how I recharge my batteries.
Here are just some cute pictures of Mary from this past week. A good friend of ours gave Mary this great monkey stuffed animal, which she adores (of course, it's a monkey). Ms. Meghan also gave Mary the cute dress she's wearing (and lots of others! Thanks, Ms. Meghan!). Can you see the big bump on her forehead above her right eye? It's gotten a lot better, but it was really nasty-looking for a while. I don't know how it happened, but she's a pretty tough little girl and recovered pretty quickly.

Happy Weekend!
