Mary's masterpiece! (It's a bird... according to Mary, it's a fairy godmother bird!)
This week has been a BIG week in the Stroud home. Mary started a preschool pottery class at the art museum, and she also started ballet class at Alabama Youth Ballet. Whew! The pottery class is neat, but she's really not into playing with clay very much. Oh well. You don't know until you try, right? However, she is in LOVE with dancing! Her first ballet class was an eye-opener for both of us. We both kind of expected her to go in there and dance around to some pretty music. Nope! The teacher actually made them stretch and do real ballet things! There was no play dancing, which was fine, but Mary kept slipping away and doing her own "ballet." Ms. Meg had to reign her in a couple times! It was a new experience, and Mary will get used to it. She did like it, though, and she's very excited about going back next week. Even though they didn't play dance, it was still a lot of fun!
We've got pottery class again tomorrow, and then Friday is music class day. We're very busy right now, but notice how all the activities are inside! It's much too hot to be outside right now. We're certainly busy lately, but it's a good, fun busy!
Have a great rest of the week!
