Happy Birthday, Mary!

Today we celebrated Mary's first birthday (which is actually tomorrow) with a family dinner. My family came over from Mississippi, and we all went to Big Spring Park to feed the fish. A little later, Stephen's parents came over (they live close by), and we had a Mexican fiesta of a dinner! Mary didn't know quite what to make of the cake (store-bought, sugar-free), and I don't think she liked it much. Many one year olds go nuts with their first cake, smashing it everywhere and matting the icing in their hair, but not our little girl. In fact, we had to put some cake in her mouth, she didn't even want to eat it! Everyone had a great time, and Stephen and I are so grateful for all of God's blessings, especially our family.

Can you find Mary and Stephen? Mary enjoyed feeding the fish, once she stopped trying to put the bread in her own mouth. :)

This is Mary's first time in her car seat being turned around facing front! We've been waiting a long time for the big day to flip around her seat, and she really liked it! My little brother, Mikey, is keeping her company in the back seat while we drive to the park.

Check out her first official birthday dress! I made it a few weeks ago from the fabric I bought on eBay. It has cupcakes and cherries on lime green cotton fabric. Love it! She's doing a lot of pulling up now, which is neat. I can't wait until she takes her first step!
