A Little Funny

Mary and I were talking about opera houses today during lunch; I was reading the children's book Bravo! Brava! A Night at the Opera!, which is really great. Mary pointed to the opera house and said very matter-of-factly, "That's where people go to watch opera on the computer." Oh my... She really is obsessed with the opera right now. She calls the closet in our bathroom the Opera Sink, not sure why. But she and her baby doll (named Sandra Pastrana, an opera singer) go in the Opera Sink often and close the door. If I ever can't find Mary, she's usually playing quietly with Sandra in the Opera Sink. We're counting down to our opera premiere (at the movies) - one month from today!

Is it really November?! I'm so glad the weather is cooler. I've really gotten into making soups, and I have a bunch of new recipes planned for this month.

Busy week this week. We're going to Birmingham on Wednesday for Anna's doctor appointment, and then our refi closing on Thursday. Oh, and Tuesday the girls and I are going to vote. I love taking them with me! Mary always makes lots friends wherever she goes because she always (loudly) asks me the names of people we see. So then they hear her and tell her their names, and voila, a new friend!
