It's been hard not to post this information; I wanted to wait until our 12-week check-up. . .
We're pregnant!
I'll be officially 12 weeks along this Wednesday. I just got back from the doctor, and Mama and Baby are doing well! We found out we were pregnant on our second wedding anniversary in the beginning of June (pretty great anniversary surprise). The baby is due January 27, 2010. I go back to the doctor in two weeks for another check-up, and then if everything still looks good, I'll go to check-ups once a month. This pregnancy has been very different from the first one; my morning sickness went away pretty quickly. With Mary, I was sick the first four months. Now, at almost three months in, there is no sickness, but I am extremely hungry... all the time (almost). And tired. But with this pregnancy, it's certainly more manageable than the last one (such a blessing).
Stephen has been the best husband and daddy in the entire world! Whenever he gets home from work, we all eat dinner, and then he takes Mary for the rest of the night. I don't even see her again until our family Bible time right before bed. What am I doing during those two hours after dinner? Resting. That's my time to lay in bed, read a book, relax. Taking care of Mary during the day can get pretty tiring sometimes, so I always look forward to when Daddy comes home. Mary has really enjoyed the extra time with Daddy, too. And Stephen has become the absolute master of putting our little girl to bed! He's much smoother than I am now.
Stephen and I are very, very excited about the baby; we were hoping and praying that we would have another baby soon. Mary and Baby will be 21 months apart, and I already know that Mary is going to be a wonderful big sister! The doctor can't tell the sex of the baby until around 20 weeks, so that will be our next ultrasound. I'll be sure to let you know!
Please keep us in your prayers during this exciting time. I know that God is sovereign and totally in control. We just pray that His Will will be done in the life of our family. We are so thankful for this beautiful little growing life!
All for now...
