Yep, that is indeed the inside of our refrigerator that you're looking at. Take a good look, we sure did. This is the most food we've had inside our fridge since we've been married! Don't get me wrong, I love to cook; I cook every night. Casseroles, crock pot stuff, homemade bread, you get the idea. Every Friday I plan our meals for the following week, and I make out the shopping list. Nothing extra, minimal (if any) snacks, just bare bones ingredients for the next week. However, Stephen and I had an epiphany a couple weeks ago. We went to three different stores looking for organic brown rice to make Mary's first solid meal, and then on the way home we stopped and got a pizza for ourselves. What are we doing?! We want Mary to eat healthy, but we didn't even think about eating healthy ourselves. No more pizza! So, this week we cut out the bad and shopped for the good. We bought LOTS of fresh fruit and vegetables (I cut up a pineapple for the first time), and of course, we're sticking with the organic stuff for our little girl. We're really enjoying snacking on nuts and grapes and strawberries.Hopefully we can stick to this healthy eating kick and really make a lifestyle change.
As for Mary, we have discovered that she does not care for sweet potatoes, and she'll tolerate bananas. Surprisingly, her favorite food is the brown rice (which is yucky when compared to the yummy bananas)! Next week, avocados! By the way, can you see the green chalkboard on the wall in this picture? If you've never been to our home, we have three chalkboards mounted throughout our house - these are, by far, the most useful things on our walls. We write Scripture verses on them that we're trying to memorize, and it really helps to see it right in front of you everyday. Well, it's getting late and Stephen has already joked that I'm babbling... so, good night!
Happy Election Week!

Wow! No more junk food - I am very impressed. I like pizza way too much to give it up completely.
Love that shade of green in your dining room. That is one of my favorite colors.
