Shots and Hat

Mary had her 6 month doctor visit on Monday. She weighs 17 pounds and is perfectly healthy! She got a variety of shots, and I went ahead and asked that she get her first flu shot. Because she's young, the nurse gives the flue shot in stages. She got half the shot Monday and will get the remaining half in a month.

On Wednesday, Mary got her first real winter cap and mittens - how cute! We then went to our friend's house for lunch and a movie. On Saturday we're going to get Mary her first winter jacket - I'm so excited!

It's pretty chilly today, so Mary will get to actually wear her hat when we leave the house in a little bit. Some friends from Tupelo are driving through Huntsville, and we're going to meet them for lunch at Olive Garden (woo-hoo!). At 3 p.m. we're going to the local nursing home for their bi-monthly church service. It's really just singing and a quick devotional, but it's sort of like church because people from our chuch are the ones who organize it. Anyway, elderly people love babies, and Mary's a big hit whenever we go; I think she likes the attention, too.

Have a wonderful day!
