It's a quiet day at the Stroud home today, well almost. I put Mary down for her nap about 30 minutes ago, and she's still crying in protest. She'll tucker herself out soon - hopefully! We've had a few interesting days lately. I went back to the dentist yesterday and got a temporary cap put on my tooth. The dental assistant says it's a "tin can" and to be careful until they can put the porcelin cap on in a couple weeks. A little part of me feels like the Terminator since I now have a shiny metal tooth in my mouth.
Mary is doing well. She'll be six months old this Sunday! Time flies! I thought about making a half birthday cake, but I couldn't figure out how to only make half of a cake... oh well, she'll never know. Mary likes playing on her tummy more, but she still doesn't roll over with purpose (she's suprised when it happens). Everything in its own time... We went for a walk this morning, which was very nice. The weather was beautiful and breezy. If we go out before 9 a.m. the air is crisp and cool still, perfect for a stroll around the block.
Oh, something new about me: I'm teaching myself Hebrew! What? Hebrew? Yes! After all, our Savior Jesus is Jewish, He's the King of the Jews (and everyone else), why not learn His language? It's slow-goin' right now, but I'm really enjoying it. Stephen is picking it up, too! We're working on the alphabet (alefbet) with help from various web sites and videos. It's actually pretty fun!
Watching the debate tonight? Stephen has orchestra rehearsal until 8 p.m., but we'll watch it together on the computer when he gets home. It's my job to get tortilla chips and make Rotel dip for the event (which reminds me that we need to go to Wal-Mart once Mary gets up).
Speaking of Mary, she's stopped crying! Woo-hoo! This nap probably won't last long, so I better try to get my chores finished before she wakes up. Happy Wednesday!
