This is Promotion Sunday at our church. Since school is starting, all the children move up into the next Sunday School class for their age groups. Mary and Anna both enjoyed their classes. Well, I did hear that Anna cried a good bit, but that's okay. Tonight starts two new activities for Mary: Choir and AWANA Cubbies! Stephen is a helper in her choir class, and he's a leader for her Cubbies class. He is such a WONDERFUL father! I'm staying home this year with Anna, and then next year I'll be helping in her Puggles room. Cubbies is great because the children actually start memorizing Bible verses and earning stickers and patches (they get a vest and everthing!). She's learned her first verse and is ready to get her sticker. I can't wait to hear how things go tonight!
Last Wednesday night, Mary started Mission Friends at our church. Mission Friends teaches younger children that God loves the world and wants people to tell others about Jesus. They study different missionaries each month and do lots of fun things (crafts, songs, and snack - Mary's favorite). I'm helping out in her class this year, and she really had a good time!
And here's the lovely Anna! She's still not walking at 19 months, but she's very, very close! She's started to do this really cute smile where she crinkles up her nose and shows her teeth. It's precious! We're having a nice, quiet night tonight while Mary and Daddy are away.
